Spec-Rite Designs recognizes the tremendous impact we, as a phenolic product manufacturer have on the environment. Our goal is to provide healthy, functional, sustainable phenolic products while minimizing those impacts throughout our design and production process.

The entire Spec-Rite Designs team has pledged to be a part of an environmentally responsible manufacturing firm through the following efforts:

  • Making eco-friendly material choices when designing and fabricating interior furnishings
  • Using locally harvested/extracted/produced materials when possible
  • Specifying stainless steel hardware items that contain a high recycled content and are produced in the USA when possible
  • Investing in a logistics systems that reduces transportation-related pollution and energy use
  • Optimizing material usage to reduce or eliminate scrap/waste
  • Reuse or re-purpose scrap material when possible
  • Encouraging in-house paper, plastic, glass and aluminum recycling
  • Actively support and participate in LEED® project certification
  • Maintain LEED Accredited Professional(s) on staff
